When talking Lean Product Development we have all heard about the Toyota Way and you can find many books about how Toyota solves problems, create plans and developing an organization focusing on thinking problem-solvers.
The product development process is an important for the company’s survival – it supports the improvement of competitiveness by improving productivity, improving quality, removing unnecessary waste etc.
There are many tools e.g.
- A3 reports which helps managers to mentor others in root-cause analysis
- Kaizen which is based on industrial engineering methods.
In my experience is great to the various lean tool sets and I have use all of them to support initiatives all depending on the organizations structure and size.
